An Indoor–Outdoor Analyzer for Use at Home or On the Practice Range

This unique swing analyzer was designed primarily for use at home or at an outdoor driving range. However, it can also be used indoors and requires no overhead light to function properly. A very important feature is that it can be used outdoors, even in bright sunlight. It is the only infra-red swing analyzer in the world with this capability—and since infra-red technology is the most accurate and reliable way to measure golf swing parameters, this is a major advantage. It is the result of new patented technology developed by Golftek.

The machine is battery powered, portable and easy to move from place to place. It is fitted with an artificial grass hitting surface and the electronic components are protected from the outside environment. No other consumer swing analyzer has these features.

SwingScan employs a reflective detection system. A series of narrow high speed infra-red beams are projected vertically and are reflected back down when a clubhead or ball interrupts the beam. The reflected light beam is detected by sensors which allows the system to measure the position and speed of the clubhead or ball. This type of system is sensitive to the reflectivity of the sole of the club. And since clubs are made with a variety of metals and also with different contours on the sole plate, reflective properties between clubs varies considerably. In order to calibrate the analyzer to provide accurate data with any club, it is necessary to add a consistent reflective surface to the sole of the club. This is accomplished by installing a strip of common 1/2 inch white adhesive tape along the leading edge of the sole of the club. When installed properly, the tape will last for the entire practice session. Taping is a very simple procedure that requires no alignment aids. Some clubs will function well without tape so it is not always required.

If you would like to have your own private practice area with a personal golf swing analyst, SwingScan is the answer. You can practice year round, keep your swing under control and even use the machine to evaluate new clubs before you buy. At $1,595.00 it costs no more than a few days at a golf school or a set of high-tech metal woods and it will provide your family and friends with valuable golf swing information for years to come.
