Lie Detector (continued, 4 of 5)

Easy to Use. More Accurate Data.
Quick Results.

The Golftek Lie-Detector system was created to provide a measurement technique that is easy to use, provides more accurate data and produces quick results with a natural golf swing. One swing is all you need to accurately determine the correct lie angle for any club – woods or irons. Furthermore, for the first time, golfers can now check the lie of their own clubs by simply hitting a few extra shots with a test ball during a practice round. Then, misaligned clubs can be taken to the golf shop for adjustment on a lie machine. This creates a new profit opportunity for club Pros who make Lie-Detector kits available to their customers.

One of the key components of the system is a regulation golf ball that has a groove machined around it's equator. The groove is painted to make it clearly visible. The second important component is a specially designed face tape that has 2 degree marks printed on the upper and lower edges of the tape. These marks will indicate the amount of adjustment needed to correct the lie angle with an accuracy of about 1 degree. Proper placement of the test ball by observing it’s position by eye can typically be done with an accuracy of 1 to 2 degrees – precise enough to be acceptable in most cases. However, for those who need it, an alignment aid is provided to help properly orient the ball.

The Golftek Lie-Detector system is truly a unique invention that will contribute to the advancement of clubfitting technology – and predictably, the universal method for club lie measurements.
